In-vitro diagnostics

Optical readout is the detection technology in a vast array of applications in In-vitro diagnostics. All these methods currently use expensive lab equipment with complicated optical readout schemes usually based on lasers and CCD cameras. This existing bulky and expensive readout equipment is in strong contradiction with the emerging needs in In-vitro diagnostics for cost-efficient and rapid point of care testing (e.g. in early disease detection). This also hinders the expansion of optical based methods into ambulatory applications in decentralized testing sites like physicians offices or clinics. BIOIDENT's breakthrough solutions will get around the existing limitations and enable the expansion of a vast array of applications in In-vitro diagnostics to the point of care.
