BIOIDENT receives 2007 FROST & SULLIVAN enabling technology of the year award
BIOIDENT’s PhotonicLab™ Platform consists of the combination of printed opto-electronic components with microfluidic systems. The novel concept allows for the first time to integrate complete illumination and detection capabilities onto microfluidic-based devices.
BIOIDENT’s products are based on the company’s PhotonicLab™ platform which consists of various opto-electronic and connectivity elements directly printed and integrated onto microfluidic devices consisting of reservoirs, bio/chemical reaction chambers and micro-fluidic channels. BIOIDENT can print complex functional elements on a variety of substrates, including glass, plastic and eventually whole micro-fluidic chips and complete lab-on-a-chip systems.
Bioident uses established testing protocols to deliver real-time and in-situ multi-parameter detection capabilities for all categories of chemical and biological analytes. Integration of all these complex functional elements results in cost reduction (through elimination of the need for expensive readers), simplification of use and tremendous increase in analysis throughput compared to current methods.
