BIOIDENT’s PhotonicLab™ technology platform is the first to enable real-time, in-situ and multi-parameter detection and analysis capabilities across all of the relevant markets. BIOIDENT product lines will consist of optoelectronic lab-on-a-chip PhotonicFlow™ systems tailored for each market segment.

The flash animation shows how BIOIDENT's products are applied. The PhotonicFlow System™ system consists of a control base (ControlR™) chip and a pack of disposable sensor (CheckR™) chips. The ControlR™ chip incorporates readout/analysis, micro-fluidic control and data communication functions. The disposable CheckR™ chip consists of a microfluidic lab-on-a-chip with multiple reaction chambers filled with appropriate reagents and with various optoelectronic components including photo-detectors, light-sources and electronics printed directly on the chip. The PhotonicFlow System™ system can be installed an in-line fashion or the end user can introduce the samples directly. The sample fluid is introduced into the CheckR™ chip and reacts with the reagents. The integrated optoelectronic elements printed on the chip detect the results of the reaction to determine the existence and concentration of various analytes. The detection of the reactions will be done in a variety of ways including photometric, colorimetric, bioluminescent, chemiluminescent and fluorescent. The ControlR™ chip performs additional analysis as well as providing wired or wireless data transfer capabilities. This process removes the need for bulky and expensive readers and analysis devices while simultaneously enabling rapid in-situ detection capabilities.
